Composting is an art, very simple, yet complex if certain guidelines are not followed. This is why we added a training workshop on conventional composting, teaching the many benefits that come from this age old concept of recycling, while composting countless materials.

Our intention is to educate you on how to compost and recycle and while doing so assisting to reduce your carbon footprint and all the while enjoying valuable benefits from your composting ventures at the same time.

Not only are you keeping literally hundreds and maybe even thousands of lbs. of waste materials out of your local landfill by composting and recycling, but you are generating valuable, nutrient filled composted soil for your gardens and grow beds! So it's a win-win all the way around full circle and recycled!

At this Workshop you will learn how to

~ Construct your own composting unit with hands on training and instructions

~ Determine the types of materials to compost during different seasons and how to prepare it

~ Determine which green and brown waste to use in your composting unit to obtain optimum microbial activity

~ Keep your composting units at optimal moisture level with the right amount of water

~ Maintain units for optimum growth and expansion

~ Harvest the compost from your composting unit

~ Apply the compost to your garden, plants and other vegetation

~ Brew compost tea - from your compost - how to apply the liquid fertilizer to your gardens & grow beds

~ Incorporate Red Wigglers within your composting unit to generate your own Worm Castings

  1. Very educational 5 Star Review

Posted by on 3rd Jan 2017

8 of us went out and took this class and was very satisfied with the teaching that GA Wigglers presented. We are with a gardening club and have been wanting to add composting into our regiment and now we will be confident in doing so.

    Thanks Dennis with GWWF!
